Getting Started

Mailchimp Transactional (formerly Mandrill) is a paid add-on available to Mailchimp Standard plan users and above. It uses a separate API key from the Marketing API.

API Key Setup

Enable Transactional Email

In your Mailchimp account, navigate to Automations > Transactional Email and purchase a Transactional block if you haven’t already.

Generate a Transactional API Key

Open the Transactional section and navigate to Settings > SMTP & API Info. Click + New API Key, give it a label (e.g. Strata Integration), and copy the generated key. See also the Mailchimp Transactional Guide
Transactional API keys are separate from Marketing API keys. A Marketing API key will not work with the Transactional API.

Configure the Integration in Strata

Select Mailchimp Transactional in the Strata Integration Catalog. Enter your Transactional API key to connect.
